Load Catalog: Subsonic, All other Powders and Bullets

The "Standard" Powders are currently Lil'Gun, H110, and A1680. This thread is for any Subsonic loads using powders OTHER than these.

This thread is a compilation of "Pet Loads" that others have contributed for publication. No chat and no discussion of loads. You can provide a link in your post for the "workup" of the load if you choose to post one.

Any loads listed are what have worked for others, but does not mean that they will work for you or your specific firearm. Pet Loads are NOT a shortcut nor a quick and cheap way to escape the sometimes tedious task of load development. Load development means starting with a LOWER powder charge and working up to that "Pet Load" in a safe and methodical manner, always checking for signs of overpressure along the way. NEVER take a "Pet Load" and use it as a starting point.

In order to be considered for publication, you can submit your information in the following format:

Rifle Used
Barrel Maker, Contour, Gas Length/Port Size (if known)
Barrel Length and Twist
Magazine Brand/Size
Bullet Used (grain, manufacturer, type)
Powder Charge and Brand
Case Used
Primer Used
COAL
Chronograph Velocity, if known or manual velocity, if known.
Any issues or problems, Failure to Fire, Failure to Feed, Failure to Eject, etc. Keep it short.

Notes: 10.5 grains was almost perfect for subs, cycled fine, locked bolt on last round. Performed better than commercial Remington 220g subs.

There's not much data out for 4198. I really wanted to try 1680 but it's hard to find and I was given 8lbs of the IMR for free. I thought it might be good for subs since H110 was not performing very well. A handful of Berger 210g bullets were given to me for free also so I thought I'd try to work these up before using the 208g Hornday A-Max I've purchased. So far, very impressed with the 4198.

This is the exact load I have been looking for over the last week! I can't find 1680 either but 4198 seems to be plentiful as do the Berger 210-gr HPBT match grade bullets. Thanks!!!

My data contains more information than what was demanded, so hopefully this will suffice! I was hoping for higher velocities in all cases... Odd that a shorter COL resulted in a lower velocity. Hopefully this will manage exptations for somebody else.
