cut-off saw

Post by Bullystix »

Just putting this out there for general use.

I checked with my local Lowes, Home Depot, and tool and supply business looking for a relatively inexpensive cut-off saw. Based on what I've seen on YouTube and other places it looks like this will do the trick:

http://www.harborfreight.com/bench-top- ... 42307.html at $34.99 plusa flat rate shipping of $6.99

Then I checked Sears and found the same exact thing: http://www.sears.com/bench-top-saw-cut- ... ockType=G8 for $249.00 plus $39.94 for S&H. Amazing!!!!

Anyone have any thumbs down for the Harbor Freight offering or have a better product to recommend?

Thanks!

HF stuff is OK
it may only last a couple of years, but at their price that is fine
I have a $20 heat gun and grinder from HF that I have used for years

I'd estimate I've done about 1500 pieces of brass with my Harbor Freight chop saw with no problems. Actually did a 100 more today with it.

I've done about 1k on mine without issue. The blade shows no sign of dulling at all.

If you only cut cases with the HF saw it will last a long time...

That reminds me....

If you decide to make a 300 BLK case from a boxer primed STEEL .223 case like I tried, now that will dull your blade.

Mine works great, especially at the price. I was shocked to get a decent little saw for that price.
