Those bullets are .311 dia.
The 300 BLK uses a .308 bore.
Someone smarter than me can tell you why it's probably a bad idea to combine the two.

Interesting. One could always buy a Lee bullet sizer die and run them through it to make them smaller. I'm always on the lookout for cheap(er) bullets. Thanks for the heads-up.

Why not get the .308 147 grain? Only about $0.02 a round more expensive.

When I was young and inclined to push reloading velocities to limits of stupidity combined with ignorance, I loaded such rounds.Bambulance man wrote:higher achieved velocity?
Finally, an older fellow I had some respect for had me plot bullet drops with velocities out to ranges I thought I might shoot. We then compared them at several distances .... and calculated what the new 'holdovers' might be. I do remember feeling quite foolish as I don't think I could range accurately enough or shoot close enough to make a difference.
Then, there is the added danger of destruction due to (insert loading goof here) when things are on the edge. Combine that with less equipment life. I just don't see it is worth pushing.
I concluded velocity was something nice to talk about but is well overrated.
BTW, after shooting about 30 deer, I calculated my average shot distance. It included one at 387 measured yards and one at 267 measured yards. The average was under 70 yards. I was still surveying at the time so my numbers were pretty accurate. I saw many folks ask about a deer at "400 yards" when the animal, according to my estimations, was closer to 200 yards. This has decreased since the advent of range finders, or maybe not.
