Re: Hornady manual
I have located some H110 on a auction site, I guess I will see how it goes "LOL"
Re: Hornady manual
I hate to see anyone pay auction or gun broker prices.
There are at 30 different powders that can work for supers and subs for the cartridge. There trade offs. Maybe not the highest velocity for light supers, maybe noisy for subs. It’s just a trade.
If you go back and look through the forum from say 2011-14 you will find some very unlikely combinations. The cartridge was new, factory ammo was not available, and after Sandy Hook there were no components. If it would burn, people tried to push a bullet with it.
Accurate
#9, 4100, 11FS, 1680, 5744, LT 30, Enforcer
Alliant
300 MP, 2400, reloader 7
Vihtavouri
N110, N120
Shooters Workd
Blackout, Socom, Heavy pistol, Buffalo rifle
Hodgdon,IMR, winchester
H110/296, 4227, lil’gun, CFE BLK, 4198
Then you start getting into powders with little data or hard to find like some of the Vectan/noble sport powders.
Nothing wrong with the Hornady 9th, just print out the errata page and tuck it in. The 10th has a few more bullets maybe some powder. The current Sierra manual has a ton of good data as does Nosler in print. Hodgdon and Accurate are on line.
Compile what you can, then see what’s available local.

300 Blackout, not just for sub-sonics.
Re: Hornady manual
Thanks for the information dellet,
I just ordered the latest Hodgdon and Lyman manuals. The Hornady hard copy is not available anywhere right now and I don’t have a Apple or Kindle devices.
I saw some of the powders on auction were going for between $75 -$100 a pound, that is a little rich for my blood.
Thanks for the list, I will build a spread sheet and keep handy while I am browsing through the different sites

Kindle reader for PC is a free download.
Re: Hornady manual
I haven’t looked for powder in awhile. It’s a bit scary out there.
You might post here or in your profile a general location, maybe someone can help. Never know who has what or what they have seen.

Re: Hornady manual
Thanks dellet, I have some supplies for everything but no powder for the BO and I could use some more bullets if I come across them too.

Re: Hornady manual
i also mark the pages noted for the calibers i shoot with the corrections and a note to see the errata page tucked in the cover in case of questions.
