Looking at Sierra offerings I see .30 M1 carbine (intended) bullets with a huge exposed lead tip. I think velocity out of 300BLK and .30 Carbine is close or at least can be.
Has anyone tried them? I'm looking at them for an all around general supersonic shooting and for game up to whitetail deer size game.
They will be launched out of a 10" 1:7 AR barrel both suppressed and unsuppressed.
I couldn't find some data that I wanted from Sierra, like max' spin rate. There has to be a reason I don't see these bullets in use.
Any and all comments are welcome. I did try to find info on site but failed.
Thanks gents!

I shot some through a Model 7. Reasonable accuracy, didn't chrono them.
They are short. You may have feeding issues in an AR.

Thanks. Yes, feeding was another concern.

Hornady list a load for 110 rn plinkers but yes the COAL does not work well and in my AR they would not feed and jammed against the feed ramps

OK, it's a non-starter.
