Hello all,, and thank you for this forum. I am new to reloading and to the 300 platform. Looking to gain some knowledge.
My questions are:
1. Projectile(bullet) looking for something cheap as a target mag dump fun round?
2. Is the 300 round considered .308? Are they interchangeable when purchasing projectiles?
3. What are some good places to find projectiles that fit this need?
Thank you guys so much for any help you can offer. Great to have people willing to help a newbie.
New to 300, looking for reload info please help

1. Projectile(bullet) looking for something cheap as a target mag dump fun round? I like Speer 125 gr TNT...buy bulk.
2. Is the 300 round considered .308? Are they interchangeable when purchasing projectiles? 300BLK uses .308 projecties..not all .308 are ideally designed for 300 BLK but you'll be suprised how many work, especially in the 100 - 150 gr range.
3. What are some good places to find projectiles that fit this need? Midway, MidSouth Shooters, Natchez, Everglades

So a 30 caliber .308 150 gr will seat in 300 cartridge??
Re: New to 300, looking for reload info please help
300 BLK is a .308 round , just like 30-06, or 300 weatherby magmun...you should look up the SAAMI specs.

Welcome to the 300 BLK world. I suggest going back into some of the older threads in this forum, considerable info to sort thru. It's time well spent and helps those trying to help others ask the questions in a way that has the info needed to get the guidance. Some dang fine and smart guys here, most having been there and done it
