When LOADING on a progressive it's best to have all stations filled and working. They are designed to run that way.

I too do a dual sizing.

i plan to use an rt1500 to trim down 223 cases with 150 gr flat bottom projectiles for plinking ammo. the trimmer leaves them deburred (according to dillons youtube vid) and i was wondering if i still need to chamfer if using a dillon expander (Model ‘C’) in the powder measure.

I have bought a lot of brass processed with a Dillon 1500 trimmer...I have never been happy with the case mouths and have always chamfered AND DEBURRED them.

looks like i’ll be getting a beburr too now  how often do you run into the cases that have thicker necks? do you turn those or save for 223 loading?

If you haven't found this yet, it will help you avoid headstamps that don't convert well.

ok so here's my proposed set up. i have an xl 750 like like OP:

processing:

wet tumble (wash n' wax+lemishine, no media)
case lube

station 1- rcbs 223 small base die/deprime
station 2 - empty
station 3 - empty
station 4 - trim using the rt1500
station 5 - 300 blk full sizing die

chamfer/deburr
wet tumble armorall/lemishine/steel media chips from southern shine.

loading:
station 1 - empty
station 2 - powder charge with dillon "C" 300 blk powder funnel + prime
station 3 - empty for now; will either get a powder cop or bullet feeder
station 4 - bullet seat (may get one that doesn't crimp)
station 5 - lee factory crimp

Pretty much like my setup...

I trim/chamfer/deburr with the RCBS Power Trim and 3-way cutter in between press passes instead of using the rt1500

You could universal decap in station 1, as the trim die also sizes.
I do use the Powder Check from Dillon on station 3, but there is an argument for using the RCBS Powder Lock-out die instead.
Also any seat die works, I just dont screw in down far enough to invoke the crimp function and use the Lee factory crimp in station 5 to do that portion.

NOW, if I could just get consistent primer pickup I'd be happy.I ran 200 mixed cases last night for PRIMING ONLY...7 failed to prime (1 loose primer pocket and primer wouldn't hold)..had I been dropping powder, that would have been 7 powder messes on a 200 round run...UNACCEPTABLE
