I've noticed some small gouges or scratches on the shoulder of my blackout brass. Some are longer or deeper than others. The brass hasn't been loaded more than once. I'm just curious if I should load the brass with this damage or discard it. Gouges are just deep enough to catch your finger nail. Is there possibly theres something wrong with my pistol? I wanted to upload an image, but couldn't figure how.
Thx

Re: Gouged shoulder
Are you sure that the gouges are from firing or from reloading. Dirty dies or nicked dies can gouge brass.
If it's from firing check the barrel extension and see if the edges near the ramp are sharp.

I'm new to this, and I cant figure out how to post a pic.. I'm a dumbass evidently lol... the barrel I'm worried about has less than 100 rds through it. So I'm sure there is still some breaking in needed. I'll clean my dies.

You may be using too much lube
That leads to collapsed shoulders
