I am looking at data to make light subs... primarily because the bullets are... well cheaper. This will also be an opportunity get bulk boxes of ammo and make plinking ammo.
150 grain bullets, 168 (ish) grain bullets, and 175-180 grain bullets are easy and cheap to come by...
It looks to me like Reloader 7 is a powder that I need to get a pound of. IMR 4198 is another. H4198 is another powder I am seeing.
I have a case of 1000 190 grain Nosler bullets that have never been opened...but I would be curious to hear ideas and thoughts on the aforementioned powders and anyone that has experimented with them in this capacity (light subs).
Are there any among the ones listed that will not say cycle the action? Are there some that are just obscenely loud? Any that are (relatively) quieter than others?
Any input is welcome.

Another specific point I am interested in is (in the context of those powders) what kind of case fill I am looking at... (and of course) as I already mentioned function of a semi auto.

Probably won't work. Been playing with rl7 and 145gr, no luck. Try 231/hp38.

Re: Light Subs--Powder Recommendations
I've had good luck with imr4198 for subs. Its actually my go-to instead of the "usual" powders. Ive found it quieter and cleaner through my gun than 1680 and DEFINITELY CFE BLK. More accurate for me too.

I use vihtavuori n-110 for 190gr noslers. It is clean, quiet, and cycles the action.
