The load for the Hornady 150 gr fmj is listed in the Hornady #10 load manual. MAX load is 15.9 gr H110 at 2.09 COAL

Thank you for that. I dont have a newer manual yet. Should order one. I have seen the data from the 9th addition and the wrong COL.

Those look good, although you may not be able to make it all the way to 18.6 before seeing pressure signs. You should be in the neighborhood of 2000 fps at the top.Ruraloregon1 wrote:Loaded my first rounds today. AR 15 with 8.5 ballistics advantage barrel. Would like someone to look over my loads.

150 is where powders like A1680 and Shooters World Blackout shine. You can certainly use H110, but won't get the same velocity. On another note. I cant find a agreed upon load recipe for hornady 150 fmj bt and h110

Yes, or two or three. Lots of good general loading info in addition to the actual load data.Ruraloregon1 wrote:Thank you for that. I dont have a newer manual yet. Should order one.

Bangbang, what manuals would you recommend. I have a handful of older manuals but none have blackout data. My go to has been speers number 12

Re: Reloading help! 125 and 150 grains
In the tests I've run, CCI 450 and BR4 were more consistent than CCI 400 or Rem 7 1/2 with H110. I'd stick with the 450's.Ruraloregon1 wrote:Should i go with CCI 400 in the future?

Re: Reloading help! 125 and 150 grains
In testing my bolt action rifles (2 Ruger American Ranch Rifles), the CCI400 was more accurate than the BR4's (100yd groups were 1/2" - 3/4" smaller). Also, each primer gave a different impact point; not much different, but non the less different (about an inch difference). I've not tested the BR4's in semi auto rifles. One just has to experiment to find what works best in your barrels.bangbangping wrote:In the tests I've run, CCI 450 and BR4 were more consistent than CCI 400 or Rem 7 1/2 with H110.
