accurate #2200 powder

Post by farright »

I did a search and maybe used the wrong wording but would like some data for accurate 2200 powder. I think I can use 1680 data and just work up from there. I have no idea how much slower it is than 1680 but am mostly interested in data for cast bullets.
thanks in advance for your reply. argie1891

It's been tried and for the most part dismissed because it does not burn well, pretty dirty in an AR, but.......

Heavier cast in a single shot or bolt action might actually be a good fit. Lower velocity and pressure for charge weight, fair amount of unburned powder were the issues I had with AA2015.

Data for R7, 4198 might be closer than 1680 for data.

Here's a better way to search,

One of the better threads that popped up. There were quite a few others, an may be more promising than I thought.

Look forward to hearing what you do with it.
