ATF just sent me my sbr stamp for a 9 inch 300blk (1:7 YHM) barrel. I'm still waiting on the AAC 762 sdn stamp so I installed a muzzle brake for now. First trip to the range was very encouraging, factory super and sub loads fed and grouped extremely well.
I really like the specs of the outlawstate 220 GI open tip but I can't find much info about handloading for subsonic suppressed rounds (night coyote and bobcat culling, HD and possible Eastern white tail).
Has anyone had success loading this bullet in a suppressed 9" 1:7 barrel? any power recommendations? Li'l Gun seems popular for launching subsonic 300blk heavies but I don't have any. I do have about 20 other powders I rather use if they give good results.
Also, any recommendations for die sets? I use Lee dies almost exclusively with excellent results but have read a few negatives about Lee's 300blk dies.
Best Regards,
Marcel

I have the following that are listed on the sticky at the top of the "Reloading" section as possibilities for launching subsonic 300blk heavies.
Alliant 2400
IMR 4227
W296 / H110
IMR 4198

4198 is loud.
When those totally ignorant of firearms make laws, you end up with totally ignorant firearm laws.

You might want to try around 9.5 to 10.5 grains IMR 4227 to start off with.
I use it a lot and it always works well.
H-110 will work also but I like stick powders.

I just shot subs for the first time this last weekend . Used 220 grain Lapua HPBT match atop 9.0 grains of H110/W296 @ 2.25 COAL . in a 9-inch BCM 1:7 with an AAC SDN-6 and a H2 buffer , M16 BC , and factory gas . Functioned 100 % suppressed or not , fairly quiet , same POI @ 15 yds as my 115gr / 18 gr super load , and pushing around 1050 . Might be a good place to start.
