265 DS Special brakes sub-moa during brass constancy test. Only shooting two rounds to check accuracy and didn't expect this from the first trip out. feeding was smooth LRBHO every time, not bad for a lightweight AR with a 4x optic. Lake City and Fed Commercial converted brass next trip will be Rem and WMA.

100 yards subsonic

One ragged hole! The quest for accuracy continues...

That's some good shooting bob.
Funny how some say the 300blk isn't accurate.
With good brass preparation and weight sorting, etc. it shoots plenty accurate.
The sub-sonic cast bullet can be shot virtually free by shooting into a crumb rubber bullet box and recasting.
I can't think of anything that can shoot such a broad weight of bullets so we'll.

This is a fascinating thread, and I will return to read all 20 pages when time allows. Hope there is more to come.

My sweet wooden crate of 100 came in last night. Will see about preppong some brass tonight but I have a weekend getaway coming up I still haven't even begun to pack for...so that takes precedence.

I like that they're noticeably shorter than 208 ELD, as that indicates they may stabilize out of my 6" straight pull pistol.

I was browsing on Graf & Sons and found this little gem

https://www.grafs.com/retail/catalog/pr ... ctId/75825

"The DS Special is a heavy bullet and can therefore be loaded with less gun powder"

Please tell me "DS" is our very own @Dolomite_Supafly and not a knock off!!!

If so, we are in the presence of greatness, ** bows with respect**

Seriously, DS, thanks for all your persivierence, you keep breaking barriers and that is inspiring...
