I found a source of Tin Star. Might have to buy a couple pounds and try that.

I use H-110 and IMR 4227. I have a hard time believing anything could be quieter than H-110. It is stupid quiet behind a 240 gr SMK. I use 4227 with 190 gr and it’s quiet.

I have to consider that “tone” has a lot to do with it. The Omega has a nice tone and it’s quiet. Plus it’s on a mod 7 bolt gun. I usually wind up shooting the 190’s through a Saker on a 11.5” Noveske. So, you can’t compare the two.

Also, you might consider Shooters World Buffalo Rifle. I bought a lb of it for my 45-70, but Unique is working so well, I probably won’t work up another load. It can be used in just about any rifle caliber for reduced recoil loads. The company is good about responding to questions as well.
