I would if I could.. I have my ladder testing loads patiently awaiting the arrival of my Micro7 from AAC. Which appears to have not shipped yet. Maybe it's on display at SHOT?

It still hasn't shipped? They have told you on a couple occasions now that it had right?

Not here yet... I suspect it will ship after they get back from shot..and unpack...and debrief, and maybe before the silencer shoot.. But you never know.... Maybe it's on display at shot, or they needed it for a demo at the range. Dead horse at this point.

I swapped some extra powder and some i will never use for some Lill Gun and some cash. They did not have any H4227, but ordered some.

The Forester die I ordered the 17th arrived this AM (the 19th, beating my rifle here AND came from MN), so I am ready to do some load testing with that powder too. Only hold up is my rifle which is all alone while everyone is at shot or so i hear. I don't get it. What, even their shipping dept goes to Vegas? Oops shot the horse again...

Looks like yet another weekend is a bust for the BLK load development project. My gas checks for my 358 cal bullets will be here... I have 500 to do.

They cost $9.50 last time I got them.. now about $26 ..wow. Amazing how much this stuff has gone up.

I can't wait to be able to clear all the BLK 1/2 finished testing off my bench. A lot of stuff just sitting waiting. I have a couple of people at Savage who I am supposed to talk with about a super/subsonic platform. Spring boarding off the momentum of the BLK I believe I may be able to spec out something unique and with a broad usage. Savage is starting to be silencer friendly.. All I can do is try.

I have to agree that Savage is a rather forward thinking company. I can remember when their rifles (though accurate) were just kinda cheap hunting guns. Now they are really courting the accuracy and long range crowd by making guns that people really want, even if they aren't always the most practicle (i.e. .338 Lapua mag). They even have multiple rifles chambered in .260 whereas Remington has maybe one or two hunting rifles and that's all. Not too many other mainstream manufaturers are making as many if any factory rifles in 6.5x284, 6.5 Creedmore, .260 or most surprisingly 6mmBR. Or long range .223's that aren't hamstrung with a 1 in 9 twist rates. I have always been a Remington 700 fan and figure I always will be. That said all but one of my 700's have custom barrels on them now. I am tempted to buy an AAC .260 barrel to give it a try. One more project on my plate maybe.

Well hopefully you get your DSA upper soon so you can get shooting it.

Hi, I just tested some 150 gr FMJ-BT handloads and I am getting 2000fps!

16in barrel
Powder-LiLGun
Charge-18.0gr
Brass-Lc 00' (blanks cut down)
Bullet-150 gr FMJ-BT Hornady
OAL 2.065

The primers are flat but not cratering, there is a lil shiny mark on the brass headstamp.

Looks like my Micro7 will be in Thurs PM. I have a tracking # so I am confident I will be back testing loads this weekend!

I have SOoooooooo much to do.

Lill Gun is on the list... I have some new sample cast bullets to try... a very nice Spire Point 190 Gr that weighs in at 193 gr. A copper Gas check and measures .309" A very pointy bullet. It may even feed in the AR. I can fill my gas tube up with lube and lead.

Great news John on the Micro! Happy to hear you will be back in the game. Hopefully your DSA will be right on it's heels.

Good to hear, John. They must have settled in after SHOT by now.

Could you post this load? Western Powders' data is showing a little over 1800fps for a max load with a 175gr Sierra MK and A1680.
