I just got my hornady 190 subs in the mail from being on backorder. Tried one out. I am totally pleased and impressed with the performance I see. I shot through 16" of water and recovered the bullet after it passed through it all at 15 yards. The bullet expanded real nice and only lost a bit of its jacket from the point. From the canelour back its still in tact. I'm very happy with them. I chambered the whole box through my bolt rifle and the cartridges all fit perfect no tight bolt close on any.

I'll have to try them at different ranges, I plan on using the gun inside 50 yards.

Can't wait to be able to buy the bullets as a reloading component.

Just came back from the range. Shot out of my 16 inch and 10 inch 300BO.
16 inch (Avg 2 shots) 2072 fps - 2058, 2087
10 inch (Avg 3 shots) 2136 fps - 2155, 2090, 2164
I just emailed LabRadar to see if I needed to be on pistol setting or rifle setting as these numbers are not what the box states. Was on the rifle setting. If they say I was correct, then will be calling Hornady about this. Wasn't going to shoot up a full box to waste, just wanted some basic numbers. Something is off, either me or the ammo. If anyone else has a chrono, please post your numbers. Will post back the information I get from LabRadar.

They got back to me. Have to change the settings to pistol from rifle. Hope to try again Sunday and will post my results. They cycle fine for me on the 10 inch with adjustable gas block. Would not cycle on the 16 inch.

Any new info shooting these subs? Been waiting on my can before going back out. Wish Hornady would sell the bullets for reloaders.

Nicely done ozleux.

I wonder when it tumbled? I remember watching Hornady’s video and in the slow motion you could see that it turned when the bullet stopped as the gel contracted.

Nice shooting by the way. But you forgot to put a dime up for the 6th shot.
300 Blackout, not just for sub-sonics.

Anyone shoot these with a suppressor? Just picked up my sandman-s. Just put the adapter on using rocksett so will hope to be at the range tomorrow to test out.
