What happened to Bergara barrels?

Post by Woodsmoke »

So I've decided I need a barrel for my Encore in 300 blackout. I've been looking online for the Bergara barrels and every place is out of stock. Are they discontinued? I priced the same thing from MGM and it's right at $400 which is too much for me to spend. Are there any other options?

I haven't heard anything about Bergara stopping production on Encore barrels.
Mike Bellm has several in stock, but none in 300 AAC.

Well, I just got off the phone with Bergara USA. They confirmed that they have discontinued all encore barrels, not just the blackout, and will not be getting any more once their supply runs out. I wonder why T/C doesn't make a production barrel in blackout?

I recall getting an email from Haus of arms last year mentioning that Bergara was going to be focusing only on their complete rifles. Their 2016 catalogue has no barrels in it at all. Maybe someone could get a group buy 300 blk barrel deal with a place like EABCo or MGM. The price is a little higher from the custom places, but the quality is no doubt better. A few bucks more isn't the big issue to me, it's the potential 4-6 month wait time.

A 300blk prohunter SBR with a folding stock is one of the best brush hunting setups their is.

CVA has a single-shot pistol and a rifle in 300 Blackout. Not quite what you wanted but the whole gun is about the same as the barrel from MGM.
