Mossburg MVP

Post by The Collector »

Why is it so damned difficult to find these for sale in 300 blk? I'm in no way ready to buy, but damn...it is looking pretty bleak for getting one in the next year or so. I really like the idea of using AR mags as I am slowly turning into a capacity junkie. I can't stand the idea of getting a Ruger American and being stuck with 4 to 5 rounds.

Mossberg is clueless. They'd sell a ton, if it was done right.

they barrel is pretty much attached the same as a savage . you can just by a barrel I think rock creek and maybe blackhole has or can make one . swapping the barrel out wont be a big deal. I considered doing this with my mvp thunder ranch but it shoots to good with 5.56 and I already have a remington 700 in 300 blackout .

Interesting Idea...I will be looking into this option further, but it will take me longer to save up for the gun, I think.

I have a MVP Predator and love the gun.

I am also on the Mossberg MVP site too and saw posts about this.

IIRC, there was barrels available (Long sold out now) from Mossberg IIRC... Some guys bought and installed them with good success. If it shot like the 223 I would have one in a NY MINUTE!

Its a very accurate rifle and would be a welcome addition to the 300blk ranks!

yeah I am over there on the mvp forum also . I have a thunder ranch model and love that thing . I also have had good luck with 60 grain v-max except I some how managed to end up with about 4 lbs of 3031 and have been using it up . I have also had good luck with the 53 grain v-max and accurate 2230.
