I wouldnt take the mag apart. I have two mags who both wouldnt feed the first two-three and I took apart one of them and rotated the spring twice.
Both still wouldnt feed.
The only reason to do that modification is if you witness the round not rising to the top(due to weak spring force).
the second video made much more sense and I followed it and sanded certain areas and now both mags feed 100%
I still left the first mage with two rotations of the spring since I dont want to bend the plastic tabs to open it again. their extremely weak.
so now I have two mags that work, just ones a son of a biscuit to load hahah

Re: RARR or not?
I've got two magazines that both misfeed occasionally. (Pointing the round way too high.) They're getting better as they break-in, and I did smooth down a few nicks in the forward ramp section.
Making the bad man go away since 1982.
Re: RARR or not?
The mag Ruger sent me works fine. Awesome customer service.
Whoever said RARR are tac drivers was telling the truth. I shot my best group today with H110 and 123gr resized amax's. One dime size ragged hole @ 50yds.
I'am really happy with my RARR
