Being that attentive to your brass always pays off.Jcm800 wrote:Agreed. Should have mentioned that was with the 175's just off the lands. The lightweights are going to jump. Neck tension and bullet runout help the most with them.
Brass is match prepped, flash hole deburred, primer pocket uniformed, necks annealed ect.....Bullet runout .001 or so.
Shows a lot of potential.....better stock, trigger.....1/2" shouldn't be a problem.
ncbowhunter that's damn fine shooting.
You can't beat the mountain, pilgrim. Mountains got its own way.

I have been very happy with my 700 . ditching the stock for a bell and carlson did wonders for my rifle .

I put mine in a B&C also. And put a timney in it. Most accurate rifle I have ever shot at 100yds. My 9 year old was shooting golf balls at 100 yards with it. Even my buddy's custom $2300 rifle didn't shoot as good as mine and he's a much better shot than me.

My Model 7 is all factory, it is great, groups well, sorry pictures are in other posts in this forum.
Re: How's your Remington shoot....
Spent past couple days working up an accurate 100 yard sub load in the 700 aac.
The 175 smk's delivered.....178 amax not so much.
The amax did not stabilize, cutting slightly oblong holes in the direction the wind was blowing.
Anyone else notice this at subsonic velocity? They shoot nice tight groups when pushed harder.
No big deal....the 175 smk's shot great with a .550 and .850" (5 @ 100yds). Middle target.
Low L shot was a fly that landed on target....heh just missed.
Chronographed at 1050 fps, bullets seated to lands, 10 to 20 mph winds from SW. Shot off bipod / bag.
Top right target 6 shots (amax)

Re: How's your Remington shoot....
If the Amax's are not stable you need to check your twist rate. I'm betting it's 1/10, marked 1/7. A lot left the factory that way.
300 Blackout, not just for sub-sonics.
Re: How's your Remington shoot....
I measured it at 1/7....first thing I thought as well.
I shot a box of 220 remington subs when I first bought rifle..... no problems.

Re: How's your Remington shoot....
my remington really likes the hornady 225 grain match I can shoot moa at 100 yds pretty consistant and often down to .75 with the 225 grain but the 208 amax just dont fly well .
