Also extremely overspun bullets can disintegrate, but that's with high velocity cartridges with thin jacketed varmint bullets.
I have personally experienced bullet disintegration mid air. It is a result of lightly constructed (Wrong for caliber) light jacketed bullets at very fast velocities. Possibly sharp rifling is a contributor as well, but this one not directly from too fast twist as it was 1-14 in 222-250 at near 4000fps.
As for spinning wild, out of control simply not likely to happen with a quality bullet. Unless it comes apart. Maybe a Home built, or poorly cast bullet, maybe.
