My dealer called this afternoon and said he finally got one for me, price will be $399+ tax making it about $420 out the door. I was hoping for a little better price as I've seen them out of stock online several different places for ~$360, but I'd only save $30-$40 tops after transfer fees and who knows how long it'll be before they're more readily available. I'll have it in my hands on Tuesday.

There are 2 on Gunbroker, but they are the "compact" (short stock) model.
FTI:
Model #6968- regular model 300 blk.
Model #6970- short stock model 300 blk.

Hi All,

Just joined because I just happened to stumble across the Ranch in .300blk (compact stock) online and instock! He (TooeleShootingSupply.com) only had one in stock and I ordered it and it should be here by friday. Just in time for deer season! Paid $375 plus $15 S&H.

They seem to be very hard to find. I actually work in a gun shop, and no one we buy through has them in stock. So I paid a bit more than if I could have gotten it through work, but at least I have one coming!

Congrats. Mine is the short stock model also, which I wanted from the beginning. I'll have mine in my hands tomorrow or Tuesday. Can't wait based on the feedback they've been getting in the range day thread.

One thing I haven't seen online is how many magazines come with the rifle?

Just one, you can probably buy more from Ruger, but I am going to wait until there are some aftermarket mags for it, if that happens. Ruger is pretty proud of their rotary magazine.

Is the 300 blk mag the same as the 223?

Yes, I bought two extras and they where labels 223 not 300BO.

As we know its designed to use same mags in a AR platform too.
