Mine as I first assembled it.

It now wears a HSP LTR stock, same Leupold MK AR scope in Leupold 2-pc steel bases and their PRW rings. Thought about going MK4 but trying to keep the weight down so I can use it as a walking varmint.

I adjusted the factory trigger out of the box and its great. The goofy "x-mark adjustable" part is a joke, you have to go beyond there or replace it. Now I just need the time to put some more rounds down range.

Thought I'd share my new build with you. I always treat myself to a new gun when I finish a deployment. Decided to go with a full custom 300/221 Blackout. The build took almost nine months but that was mainly due to the stock running behind. A gentleman in Co built it for me (some know him as "Spook").

Modified Rem 700 action with sako extractor and tactical bolt knob

16" Brux heavy barrel with 1 in 8" twist (threaded for surpressor)

Jewell trigger set at 8 oz

Manners stock with adjustable cheek piece

CDI bottom metal and magazine

I added a NF 20 MOA two piece base

NF Med rings

NF NXS 5.5-22x56

Still working on loads.

This is my first custom rifle and I'm super excited about it.

Stock upgrade. Still same scope/rings/mounts.

I picked up Leupold PRW steel base and rings but am unsure if I am going to use them as I am trying to keep this package lightweight. Wanting to use it as a walking varmint.

My 300, want to change the stock down the road, otherwise quite happy with how it has turned out.

Haven't seen a rem 700 in an axiom stock yet, and picked this one up for next to nothing and figured I'd give it a try.

Crappy pic...wanna get a better one taken soon, but this will at least give you a peek...

Remington 700 SPS -- 300 AAC
MDT TAC21 Chassis
Custom Cerakote by Dynamic Finishes

I just got her put together tonight, so haven't gotten the chance to see how she performs with various factory and hand-loaded rounds. Got ahold of some TrailBoss to run extremely quiet lightweight subs too...

How do you like that stock? My 700 came with the Houge overmoulded one. A raised cheekpiece to get behind the scope would be nice.

Mine had the crappy hogue on it as well, I picked the axiom up for a c-note and figured to try it out. Rock solid, but granite heavy... Still working the kinks out, raised cheekpiece and extended length of pull are great, but not with current scope setup, need to change scopes and try something new. All in all, great shooting from a bench, not so great if you have to carry it very far.
