Just picked it up yesterday. Remington Model #84205
16.5" 5R barrel, 1:7 twist
Shown with 2.5-10x44mm scope and SDN6 affixed.

Now I need to work up some bolt gun loads. Have some 220SMKs w/A1680 already loaded, might pop a few of them,
but looking at switch to LilGun for this platform, but stick with the SMKs.

Anyone have a good subsonic Lil'gun load for 220 SMK's?

I've been shooting Noe 247311 cast in mine with 1680,5744,Vit N-110 and RE-7.The best groups so far are 7 shots into half inch at 50 using 11.3 grains RE-7 in rem reformed brass.Average velocity was 1005 fps with 19 fps SD.It didn't like the load with different brass for some reason the first time I tried it.
I think around 9 grains lil-gun might work with the sierra 220.10.6 grains 1680 works well with the 208 A-max for me in AR.The cast bullets shoot so good in my 700sps might not even try any condum bullets in it.For sub loads I haven't found any powder to shoot better than RE-7 and 1680.I save lil-gun and 296 for supers.You'll love the 700sps.Mine has been a lot of fun.

I have a variety of projectiles and powders. 110Vmax's, 125 TNTs, 150s, 165s, 168SMKs, and the 220 SMKs.
Also have the Lee mold and few of them cast.

As far as powders, I have A1680, 5744, H110, and some LilGun inbound.

I have an SPS in .223 that drives tacks with AA2230 and a 50grain Vmax.
My son has the .308 version.

I will be removing some stock material up front, as there can be some minor contact between barrel and stock,
been there, it make a difference to ensure it really is free floating.

I use 8.5 grains Lil Gun in a 16" AR and it is awesome.

The powders used in AR loads are all too slow for use in a bolt gun. Those powders are specifically used because their longer pressure spike is required to cycle the semi auto action. As this is not an issue we can use much faster powders in bolt gun loads. Smaller amounts of faster burning powders will make much less noise when fired through a suppressor. I have even tried Trailboss in my bolt gun and it is ridiculously quiet.

For a bolt gun powders like N320, Red Dot, 700X etc will produce better results.

Don't have vit-320 but have vit-330 for 45acp.Have read that 45acp data for 230 ball works for 300BLK subs in boltgun.What say the experts.I think Aaron from DCA mentioned it in a post a long time ago.

Yes it is factory, Model # 84205.

As far as subs go, Hodgdon shows a subsonic .308 load using Titegroup, which I have a lot of.
I have been wondering if I could work down a subsonic BLK load for he bolt gun using TG?

Tightgroup has had issues with Kabooms.So has H-110 with subs but it might have been from the OP on these things.I like to stay with powders that fill the case better so as not to risk the chance of double charge.It does and can happen pretty easy with ball powders sometimes.
If I do use fast powders I like to use flake or granular,they seem to be more accurate anyway.Unique would probably be a lot safer to use.It's efficient down to 60 percent load density.

After paint job, with mag xtender.
