Why doesn't TC build a dimension in 300 AAC

Post by stre-tch »

Seriously if TC wanted to start selling their dimension rifles (although pretty ugly to me, they would chamber on in 300 AAC (they already have the 300 Whisper license), they make it in .223, they make a .308 barrel (too bad the twist is 1:12 but they make contender barrels with 1:8).

It seems to me if they did this it could breathe some life into this action. I like the idea of being able to swap the barrels (kind of like AR15 uppers)

If they did maybe someone would eventually make a better stock

I can easily think of several different manufacturers that would be better candidates than TC who would likely have greater commercial success with the 300 BLK in a bolt gun.

If they made one sized to use 223,300BLk,17 rem,204,17 fireball,221 fireball, etc only it would gather a lot of interest I think but being an action big enough for 300mag,7 mag,etc it probably won't appeal to most buyers.
Might as well buy the new Rem 300BLK.It is selling pretty good and a lightweight barreled one with an optional 10 round polymer mag would sell pretty good also.
