What kind of feeding problems are you having? I bet if you cut a few coils from the magazine spring that would help emencely. Most bolt actions have just enough spring pressure in the magazine to bring the last round in firm contact with the feed lips.

I have 2 20rnd mags. I thought that would help as well. I cut some coils, and it did help, however I need to change the feed-ramp geometry to get it really working well.

Is the bolt over riding? or the shells poping out at the wrong time, is the round getting hung up as it feeds. Each problem can be the sum of several different things. It's too much to type , Check your PM"s my nimber is there. I tuned too many rifles to count, I will try to talk you through it. It is very seldom to much spring tension.

Now that is one incredible project... please let me know if you decide to sell that stock.....I will definitely buy one.

Great job!

goteron wrote:Thanks, it looks better from far away, there are still a lot of tooling marks I was too lazy to remove. Its meant to be used, so that doesnt bother me.

Once I get the feeding issue resolved, I need to get a 9.5" Ace stock instead of the 11.5" I have on here now, other than that, shes ready to go.

The chassis is complete and my SDN-6 was approved, I got to shoot it this weekend. The feeding problems resolved themselves, the gun just needed to be worked in a little bit. Its an awesome setup. With all of the interest, we will be putting it into production, as a Gen 2 design with some notable changes.

Very cool work. Awesome that it uses AR mags.

Maybe I missed it, but what does it weigh as is? And do you know what it will weigh once chopped, without a can?

How do you like the SDN-6? That is what I am trying to buy but cannot find one. My dealer is supposed to be getting one. Sometime.
