A different kind of 300 Blackout pistol

Post by Dolomite_Supafly »

Here is a pistol project I just started.
Image

It is a Remington Model 7 that has been trued. PT&G bottom metal. I also plan on installing a Sako style extractor. Thanks to dellet for the action.

Still trying to figure out what trigger to use. The stock is also something I need to sort out. I have some very nice walnut to work with, thanks to a very good friend. I am going to use an M24 profile just shortened to fit an 8” barrel, thanks to Law Enforcement Sales in Oak Ridge, TN.

My goal is to build several barrels of different calibers and be able to change barrels in minutes. I also have an 11" 223 barrel I made for it as well. I still need to chamber them.

And of course it will be silenced.

Looks like it will probably pinch you fingers a bit

I have a couple of Timney Calvin Elite's. They work very well, and hold up to dirt and poor conditions. Just not that many choices for a Model 7.

Look forward to a range report.
300 Blackout, not just for sub-sonics.

That looks like a fun project.
Yes, I am a Baptist, and yes I carry a gun. You might think I carry a gun because I don't trust God. Well you would be wrong. I have complete faith in my Lord. It is mankind I have no trust in

Is an ATF Form1 required or did you buy the action legally ready to build as a pistol?

If you get a bare receiver, you can do as you like, since it hasn't been built as a rifle yet. They are a little tough to find, though.

I hope to see more as this progresses.

Yep, that is it.

If you build it as a pistol first you can then build a rifle and go back to a pistol as well.

You could use a thumbhole stock and modify it into something for a pistol?
