Rebel,

Now that you have had this rifle for a few months do you still have the opinion that the CZ is much better than the RARR? How about in comparison to the Model 7? I have the RARR, and for lack of better reasons it’s leaving me wanting.
Thanks

I will answer for him because I know what he will say.

The CZ is magnitudes better than the RARR. You will be hard pressed to find a better rifle for the price.

I have both. The only thing I am not pleased about with the CZ is that the bolt handle comes very close to the scope when up. The bolt also does not close smoothly and I have to push the end of it to get it to close vs just using the handle. The RARR’s bolt is smoother operating and has better clearance with the scope. The rest of the CZ is much better than the RARR though.

3 lug bolt on the RARR allows for a 60 degree lift. The CZ is a mini mauser, full bolt lift. One must consider scope choice and mounts. With so many mid level priced scopes being ass heavy ( unnecessarily I should add) it is a concern. If you shoot your CZ some it will smooth out. I lapped my lugs and solved that issue before I ever shot it. I recently fired two shots in under 2 seconds on a moving target at 120 yards with a kill - no problem. Very smooth now.

Do you just put lapping compound on the lugs and cycle?
