Broken magazine on nearly new Ruger American Ranch Rifle in 300 Blackout

I have a new Ruger American Ranch Rifle in 300 Blackout that I bought new and has less than a box of ammo through it. I was taking the magazine out and the lock at the top broke off. This rifle has not only used for target practice and handled very gently. This definitely appears to be some type of defect in the magazine. I contacted Ruger, we'll see what they have to say. I was already unimpressed with the rifles magazine as it doesn't load rounds well and this just makes it worse. Hopefully Ruger fixes this with a replacement magazine.

Looks like the Photobucket-natzis got ya! The flimsy mag is the single reason I have not bought a rarr. This link is from another member. Should fix the mag problem.

That's a whole new stock and mag, I would like Ruger to just replace what broke. lol.

Good luck, Ruger has replaced many for guys you should be taken care of. Ruger CS is quite good.

Yep, you're correct. Ruger sent me a new mag to replace my broken one. Great CS! I just wish the original mag never broke. I have quite a few firearms and never had a mag break.
