Brass case neck has odd marks after firing...please help

They look like some kind of critter with fangs took a bite on them.

vampire upper .. I am betting sharp corners on the extension lugs as well .Happening on extraction
a little Flitz polish and a felt wheel on a dremel tool will take care of that in a jiffy

Cleaned mine up with a dremel tool and they went away. Really sharp. Never touched the bolt - but if it worked...20X11 wrote:Those are the marks left by the barrel extension lugs upon extraction. The good news is you have a nice strong ejector/extractor setup. The barrel extension may be a little rough, but these marks are of no real consequence.
