Any recoil system in the AR requires an anti-bounce weight or you will get light strikes. IIRC I used a 20 lb spring in mine and it works great.

I imagine I can modify it to include a bounce weight similar to the one you built.

Are you having bolt bounce when shooting or just when you drop it on an empty chamber?

I have had zero issues with mine but all guns are different. 18 pound spring will probably work but if you ride the bolt forward it may hang. I have tried everything from a 16 pound to a 24 pound.

Also, there still is some spring noise when using the SBF pushrod. I made one using a carbon fiber arrow shaft and it is QUIET.

Seems to be primarily when dropping the bolt but has happened during shooting as well.

Ok, because I haven't had an issue. I will be adding a anti bounce weight to mine as well just to ward off any issues later on.

Are you impressed with how fast it seems to cycle as well? It just seems like it is runnign a lot faster and because of the reduced weight it would make sense.

Have not really tried rapid fire or ran it properly at this point so can't say. Once I get the bounce issue sorted out I will flog it..... :P

I made mine for under $15 in materials. All parts are easily found and bought but do require a some precision equipment to make it.

Once this "anti bounce" thingy is worked out do ya'll think a good technical drawing and parts list is possible? I know it's asking a lot but there are some things ya'll are dealing with that I just can't conceptualize. I've built several form 1 silencers and have the tech skill to do this but some of it I just cannot visualize.

Thanks.
