That is exactly what I am saying. It makes perfect sense. $455 retail - $60 gas block - $12 gas tube/roll pin - $30.00 for taper pinning = $350.00ish for a top of the line barrel.BC98 wrote:The 16" Noveske barrels are around $450. If you pull $100 off for all of the parts you're only paying about $350 for a stripped barrel, which is not out of line.mazur wrote:You mean $250? Your post doesn't make sense.chase102798 wrote:After you subtract the gas block, gas tube, and taper pinning, a Noveske is really just a $350.00 barrel. They have been excellent for me and I have never wished I spent $100 less on another barrel.
I believe that's what he's trying to say.

Oh, sorry bud. I bought an 8", so I was thinking of the $350 I paid.chase102798 wrote:

No problem man. He mentioned wanting a 16 so that was what I was pricing. The shorter ones get even better.mazur wrote:Oh, sorry bud. I bought an 8", so I was thinking of the $350 I paid.chase102798 wrote:

Recently saw this and think I'll do some research to see what all I can find out.

I'm looking at this one myself. They said they should be back in stock in about 2 or 3 weeks.BuckySWT wrote:been REALLY happy with my Wilson 16"
I still don't have a sense of how all of the manufacturers stack up against each other. I suppose it's too subjective, and perhaps they haven't been making these long enough for people to have worn out their barrels.

Re: The elusive 300 blackout barrel
I agree with JimKidd. I used to own a 16 inch CMMG custom upper and it worked fine for me without any problems.
Re: The elusive 300 blackout barrel
PSA FINALLY stock their fine MS HF DCL FN barrels in 300 BLK! You get Noveske at a realistic price!
They just post uppers too.
They no deceive like DSA does either!
