Out of curiousity, why would you want a barrel longer than 16"?

Sport shooting.

I'm building a 300BLK AR and I was just checking my options. It's my first black gun.

I'm really impressed by the 300. If I can believe everything I read.

I've been in the military for 25 years thru the M16A1, M16A2, and the M4. For carrying around everyday and clearing buildings the M4 is fine. It couldn't beat the M16A2 at a distance. I just wanna see how far I can reliably push the round.

20" AR in 300 BLK won the 2011 USPSA Multigun National Championship:

Well, Staff Sgt. Daniel Horner WON it, but he used the 20" 300BLK AR :)

I did. Those were some steep prices. I guess I'll have to save a little longer.
