Anybody know if one is available or should I tell my buddy to piece one together from a LH Stag upper reciever?

We make LH rifles with the Stag LH uppers for one of our dealers, you should be able to get a 300 BLK from them.

I'm running a suppressed left handed AR in 5.56 that uses a stag upper and bolt. It works great. No reason it shouldn't work with a 300 blackout. The barrel and receiver are all the same. Throw an ambi safety and a left handed mag release, and you'll be golden. THe only thing I would say is that the dust cover opens up, not down, so it an interfere with some optic mounts (like my aimpoint patrol).

I am 43 and have been shooting right handed rifles all my life. I now run a left handed Steyr Aug and a left handed AR and I have to say, I love it. WHen running suppressed, its particularly nice to not have all the gas pouring out of the action in front of your nose.

The only thing you are giving up is parts ubiquity. ITs an AR but not quite a normal, completely compatible AR. So far the stag bolt is holding up well, and its being run in a 12.5 inch suppressed gun.

They use a special barrel extension. Because the bolt locks in the opposite direction the relief cuts on the inside of the lugs need to be on the other side. Stag makes barrel extensions with the cuts on both sides so it can be used with a normal AR as well.

Check out Keystone Accuracy for their new side charging left hand uppers.

We've built quite a few left "south paw" ARs.
Give us a call, we'd be happy to help you.

I just built a 300 BLK Lefty using DPMS Upper Lo-Pro Flattop Left Hand with Left Hand Bolt Assembly from Stag.
Runs great!

Everyone is born right-handed, only a few of us learn to overcome it

Last I checked the stag lefty uppers aren't available with m4 extensions. Have they changed this? Does the dpms lefty upper have the cut-out? Not a big deal either way is an easy fix was just curious.

I have a stag lefty upper from about 2008 it's been reliable but I don't really like having to use lefty bolt & carrier and that it will not fit in a receiver block w/o extensive mod. As long as I've got my ambi safety I'm gtg shooting right handed carbines.
