tmh260,
I'm looking to be able to break round clay skeet/trap targets at 100 yds w/a red dot sight. Should be able to accomplish that with the plinking loads and worth my time reloading the lighter bullets. Sounds like a lot of fun. I ordered my AAC 762 SD6 (think that's the #) silencer last week. They told me it's going to take
2-3 mo, just to get the silencer. Then the ATF is taking 6 mo to get the stamp back to you. So I'm looking at a 9 mo deal here
before I can even enjoy the silencer. But it'll be worth the wait. I love how quiet this round is. Plus the fact, I can use the silencer
on a lot of other guns. I bought a custom Encore bbl in 22-250 threaded with 1/2x28tpi threads specifically for the silencer and
prairie dog shooting. Hopefully get a lot of use out of this thing once I get it.

Sorry for the newbie question, but what barrel length are you getting your 2300 fps? Is that a 16" or an SBR? If its not an SBR, what kind of real velocities can be expected out of a 9" upper? Thanks.

I figured. That seemed fast for an SBR. Can someone point me to real numbers for about a 10" (I'm looking at a 9.5" PWS upper) for the 300 BLK? It seems like even though there are great numbers for a 16" 300 BLK upper, the point was to make it perform well for an SBR and I wonder about real numbers for performance out of an SBR. I'm not a doubter, I've already started the build, just looking for confirmation.

Thanks.

Sorry for the delay. I just checked the forum.

Yes, 16" barrel. I couldn't guess on velocitys from a SBR but I think others have chrono data listed in the handloading section.

A buddy didn't know if they would work or not. Glad to hear they do. I was concerned about the twist. I thought most 30 caliber were 1 in 10. Guess the 1 in 8 is fine for this caliber in that it shoots a lighter bullet. Thanks for the info.
With my bro-in-laws gun and PNW 155s we used Magpul E-Mag 30s and the new Lancer advanced warfighter 20s and they both worked perfect. Also just got 200 rds of new UMC ammo in and that ammo goes into both mags fine too (no tilting or anything), however haven't shot it in anything yet.

Also a brand new BCM BCG. These are the only bolts and carriers I use anymore.
