I'm working on building a suppressed SBR, and am trying to find a 300 blk barrel that is:
10.5" long
1:7 twist or faster (mostly going to be shooting subs out of it, and want to be able to stabilize everything)
Isn't stainless steel
And doesn't cost a fortune.
Is there anything out there that fits that criteria? I've looked at BA, faxon, SOLGW, etc., but can't find anything. Weight is a factor, but not a big deal
10.5" barrel with 1:7 twist or faster?

How much is a fortune?

What's the story on 'not stainless steel'?
I've seen/watched/listened to/ and even talked to some of the biggest barrel makers and today''s stainless steel and your grandpa's stainless steel are not the same thing.
I have a stainless steel 5.56 10.5" barrel and I spoke to the manufacturer way back when and I asked about the life of the barrel... they asked me a series of questions and told me that I could expect (on my firing schedule) around a 15,000 round barrel life, maybe more.
Today's modern alloys and all that killed almost all of the traditional stories about 'stainless steel'. I would figure shooting subs out of a 300 BLK with a good quality stainless barrel on a the basis of being a hobby shooter (not a professional who does it every single day) you could get similar barrel life if not better.

It does seem to be a harder combination to find, but not uncommon. MAS defense is reasonable quality and in stock. Ballistic advantage makes them but are hard to find for some reason.

300 Blackout, not just for sub-sonics.

without knowing what you consider "a fortune".....
if you decide you want one in stainless after too much searching for a non stainless barrel - bear creek has one available.
https://www.bearcreekarsenal.com/bca-ar ... -1-7-twist
the only non-stainless offering of theirs i see that meets most of your criteria is a 1:8 twist parkerized barrel - which should stabilize damn near everything
https://www.bearcreekarsenal.com/bca-ar ... -1-8-twist
they also offer it as a complete upper for under $200 - just add sights and pin to your lower

Cheap. I've seen many more good reviews than bad on their products. Not familiar with them. https://www.cbcindustries.com/products/ ... 0-aac-1-8/

Just curious. Have you found a barrel to your liking?
