I did a mild trim using carbide cone cutter, followed by 3 rubber points, then felt polishing (220 lapping, 10micron diamond paste, Flitz buff)
The mouths are just a smidge wider.
Hard to get good pics of the final because of the mirror'ish polished metal.

What bullet were you having a feeding problem with?

None yet. Prepping for install. I want this 300blk to eat anything, etc. We shall see.

Making a modification like that, without first confirming a problem, will lead to trouble. Now when you have a feeding problem there will be no way of knowing if you created it.

One of the main causes of flat nose bullets not feeding is the magazine. The bullets need to be loaded so short to keep from jamming in the lands that they don’t come out of the magazine nose up.

Then when you open the feed ramps up for short fat bullets, VLD bullets don’t get enough lift from the ramps and the tips hit below the chamber opening.

You don’t get much flatter than a boat tail backwards, those feed fine as long as you can load them longer than about 1.800” in every barrel I have. 210/220/240 SMK’s are my bullet of choice for that.

Always look forward to others results, so make sure you post them.

The floor of the ramps from front to back did not change, same angle, same lift.
