PORT POP

Post by pahack1972 »

Hey everyone, I am new here, but not to 300 BLK.

Question: I am running a 7.5 inch SBR, with a non adjustable gas block, Armaspec captured H2 buffer, and Dead Air Sandman L. I am getting a lot of port pop to the point I should wear ear pro. Any suggestions? Thank you in advance for any help you can hook me up with!

Choices are a longer barrel, smaller gas port, faster powder, enhanced BCG to delay opening.

Since you’re using 1680, that would be the first thing I would change.
300 Blackout, not just for sub-sonics.

Depends on barrel length, gas system, bullet weight, and suppressor.

In general 1680 is my lass choice for subsonic loads because it's loud and dirty. But there are a few cases in makes sense.
