I opened up my Wilson Combat 16” carbine gas barrel to .125. With an adjustable gas block, I have had good function with subs and supers. I like having more gas available than needed so I can use what’s required for any situation. I shoot exclusively cast bullets for both situations.

My build (10.5" pistol gas) started at .079. That was also touch too small to reliably manage a variety of unsuppressed subs

How are you measuring the size?

Best way is to use pin gauges.

If you don't have access to those or know anybody with some you could take your barrel by a machine shop and ask if they could check it with pins or you could use a decent set of drills by using the shank end like a gauge pin, once you find a good fit you can measure the drill shank with a 0-1" micrometer.

Just measured my 8" seekins ( pistol gas ) a couple months ago, it has a .096 port. ( it has always run supers and subs both unsuppressed.) I run an AGB tuned down a hair even for subs.
