I have two. Like them. Doesn't rattle, slides smooth, locks well, QD attachment is perfect for how I sling a ... big pistol.

Less hassle than an SBR, though I've never been hassled.

Shorter than a Magpul CTR because it lacks the shoulder pad.

The lower area is a little soft to shoulder on say a 458 SOCOM or similar If you do that high anyway. Fine for soft shooters like 9mm, 556 and 300 Blk.

I can't figure out how the wrist strap is suppose to work. I think it's for show. Works fine as wrist "blade" though, but then so does a CTR.

It's not as comfortable as a CTR, course my intention was to make a pistol...

I'd buy another, but as soon as I do, I suspect something new will come out so I'm holding off.

I like it better than my Shockwave, and the SB PDW brace. I've got one installed and one on order that will replace my Shockwave. For a true forearm brace, I think the Tailhook models are better...

CW,

I have Shockwaves and an SBA3. I also looked very closely at Maxim and SB PDW braces. I only have pistols and no stocks.

The SBA3 is a no brainer compared to other braces I mentioned. Excellent functionality at a reasonable price.

Shockwave is adequate for my dedicated .22lr and 5.56 but lacks practical adjusting and leaves a bruise after a 100 rounds of 300 Blackout.

The brace portion of both PDWs is too short and too flexible for my tastes and the prices aren’t reasonable plus the rods block the takedown pin and safety.

Like the Goldilocks story, the SBA3 brace is just right. Brace (rubber) portion extends lower than others. It’s stiffer and more practical. Functionality is much better than a minimalist stock. The price is pretty good considering it comes with it’s own tube and the adjustments and lock up are great.

Also, no bruises if it touched your shoulder.

I have one on my 9mm AR pistol and I really like it better than the blade I did have on it. It works very well. I am trying to get another one for my blackout pistol right now.

Thanks guys!

Seems most places are sold out on these. I guess they are quite popular.

A friend says he has one set aside for me if I want it.

I'll stop in later this week when I am down his way.

I just picked up a second SBA3 from Brownells for $97 shipped.

It was on back order for a few days but it’s already shipping.

Shockwave makes an adjustable one as well. I like the Shockwave better. O

Do they make a blade that is adjustable now? I didn't think they made an adjustable one (non tool adjustable)

I wasn’t aware of the Shockware 2.0

It still has the hard blade which with 300 Blackout’s recoil impulse (after quite a few rounds) will leave a bruise if it recoils against your body.

May I ask what you didn’t like about the SBA3?
