I'm excited to give this powder a try once it's available. I use CFE Pistol on the four different handgun cartridges I load. I got it to work up some 9mm loads a couple years ago, and really liked the results. Ended up working up loads for the other handguns and like it for all of them. It's clean burning, gives good velocities, and meters well. Hopefully CFEBLK will be the same.

After 45 rounds, here is a screenshot from the video. I did apply a layer of Mobil 1 synthetic oil last night to the BCG and bolt, and I am still running the BCG and bolt wet .

I am editing the video right now..gotta get done before I pick up my 7 year old son from school at 2:00PM EST!!

I will comment later on this afternoon. btw....it was 10 deg. F and -0 deg. F windchills!!

(20) rounds of Lehigh Defense 194ME "chilled" at around 2 deg F overnight. (19) rounds of Lehigh Defense 168CF loaded this morning. Plus (6) 168CF on my workup loads. 45 total rounds fired.

I may start closing off the adjustable gas block, the 168CF were cycling with no issues.

thats a lot of unburnt powder for only 45 rounds!

how does your trigger group look?

part of what i'm curious about is what the carbon buildup looks like on the tail of the bolt thats directly impacted by the operating gasses.

trigger group in the lower has residue as well.

Being a newbie suppressor owner....would closing off the adjustable gas block help?

I'll run a freshly cleaned bolt that wet, but I just dab some grease on the carrier at contact points. That is pretty messy, though, like 1680 messy. I don't think the gas system is doing that.
I do not reply to posts with horrific grammar errors.

I do not reply to posts concerning the case mouth dent.

copy that!

Having no experience with 1680, I did not know what to expect.

One thing I do not miss is the half burnt extruded kernels of IMR4227 in my BCG, bolt, and chamber.

I cleaned everything again, left everything dry, but I only shot 3 rounds to check for function.
This afternoon, I did turn down my adjustable gas block down 8 turns (20 detents, Odin Works) and the 168CF's had BHO....something the IMR4227 would not do with the 168CF's.
