Seriously. I thought the legal minimum was three.

Steven, pm me your address and I'll lend you a bcg. There is no sitting out.

Well I have a cva scout pistol I could take for a whirl at 200 yds but have a red dot on it. I have other BCG's in another AR but I try to avoid doing that for some reason.

cert, what's your sight picture like when doing that? My eyes are probably older with more opaque bits inside than yours, but I'm not sure I could even see the card at 200, much less align a front sight to it with any consistency. How wide is the blade compared to the card at 200?

Bang, with both eyes open the 5" width of the card is about half the width of the front post and hieght wise it looks like just a line.
Closing one eye makes the target disappear, my guess is because significantly less light makes it to the aiming eye throught the peep sight.
When I shoot irons I like to use a pink card sized so that it appears to be the same width as the front post. 8" works well for me at 200y, 12" @ 300 and 18" at 500m.
I will be attempting 300 yds w/ a 12" aiming point and adjusting POI to hopefully get some hits on the 3x5. Just have to finish sorting out these loads
