Cause Rem doesn't have to...we buy it anyway. Good to see there are more reasonable options.

Wow S&B is in the 300black game. I like the lighter 124g bullet. I do wonder what FPS they are running at? I've had good luck with the new and surplus S&B ammo in the past. Really looking forward to their 200g sub-sonic stuff.

This is great. I have always horded my 300blk to myself due to the fact I don't really want other people shooting my hand-loads for safety reasons. Now I can keep some of this handy if someone wants to try it out.

S&B cooked up some good cost effective ammo for the 6.8. Good reviews have been posted on the 6.8forum. Nice to see S&B expanding their product offering into 300blk.

I'm all in favor of the new ammo, but the reason they can make it cheaper than Remington is simply because it is made in eastern Europe with lower cost labor, less legal/environmental costs, and probably plenty of other costs that go into it are lower as well. That's partly offset by the cost of getting it here, but bottom line it is hard for a US manufacturer to compete with them on price. That's not a statement of criticism or support of either manufacturer, it's just reality.

The closest equivalent Remington ammo (UMC 120) is a good load, especially for what you pay. Out of my rifle, it prints about the same size group as black tip ammo costing roughly twice as much. Which stands to reason, since both are loaded by Barnes with Barnes components. Time will tell how the performance of the S&B Czech made ammo compares. If I see some, I will definitely buy it for bench testing once the weather warms up again.

You think it's expensive to buy where you live. ...ha Hornady supers run us about $58 bucks a box just under $3 a round....hell a 50 cal is only $8 and a 7mm rem mag $2.25.

But I can buy as much bulk .22lr as I like
