OPTION C: use a rifle-length buffer tube with the appropriately sized "spacer" so that you can use carbine-length buffer/spring setup...i used one by SPIKES so that i could run JP Silent Capture with my Magpul PRS stock ( bought it before i knew the JP setup comes with a polymer spacer)...if you wanna use a polymer spacer, pm me and i will send you the one that came with one of my JP SCSs now that i have 3...lol...i use the spikes one still

I also use a rifle length buffer assembly tube in my wooden furniture AR here. I use the JP Silent capture with the polymer buffer provided, no issues and man is it quiet!
Might as well go that route from the beginning and be prepared to be spoiled by the JP Silent Capture buffer from that point on

It worked fine with supersonics but needed a little tuning for subs. A suppressor helps it to be more forgiving. Above 210gn and your subs will cycle reliably. I settled on 220gn 11.1gn of 2207, 55.5mm OAL.
Do you know what size the gas port was/is?

I still have the old barrel...CMMG gas port is 0.135"
You can also use a spacer in the receiver extension, this will allow you
to use a carbine spring and buffer while using a rifle length butt stock and receiver extension.
I've done a few in this manner and they worked great.
