I have found the battlemags work the best, they have never given me any issues.

I have tried Gen 2 and Gen 3 PMAGS. I have had flawless performance.
I just bought a bunch of Troy Mags for 5.95 each from Grabagun

I have no idea what brand any of my 223 mags are, I buy whatever is cheapest. They all work fine.

I have some of the D&H 300 blk mags. They are exactly the same as everything else, except they have "300blk" on them.

20rd PMags (Gen III) - though, I've never attempted to feed subsonics through them (which is the magazine issue for many). I haven't even tried 30rd PMags (gen 2 or 3) mostly because I like the balance of the 20 rounder on my AR 10.5" pistol and because I'm concerned with the additional weight of 30 110+ grain bullets of 300 Blackout affecting spring performance.

+1 Lancer AWM. Sometimes you can catch them on sale for under $10.00.

+1 Lancer. because they are the most different in appearance to my other mags and have a good track record from what I've read so far. appears may others have come to the same conclusion.

Pmags, both gen2 and gen3, were giving me problems. So I switched to Lancers and they have been flawless.

Now my pmags are for 5.56 and Lancers are for 300BLK. Its virtually impossible to confuse a colored pmag with a translucent Lancer. They even feel completely different.

I was looking for magazines that are obviously different than the mags I use for 5.56.

I tried the IWI 30 rnd M16 mags ... obviously different. Bottom feels different in the dark. Work like a champ! Cheap ;-)

So if it's a pmag, military mag, or a HK mag ... goes in a 5.56.
