EO bans russian AKs - possibly ammo?

Post by mostholycerebus »

If you missed it: link.

Ammo seems unlikely to be affected, but there is speculation some may be. This affects all imported Veprs and Saigas, which were rolled into the Kalashnikov concern last year after Izhmash sued Molot. This knocks out the highest quality AKs we had available to us.

Seems like a hole just opened in the market for quality rifles firing projectiles with 7.62x39 ballistics. Is anyone there to step up and fill it?

Here's the response that will inevitably come:

Maybe if the 300 had cheap ammo like the AK does.

Bulgarian AKs are just as good as Saiga made models. Expensive ones are at Arsenal, cheap ones that take forever to show and then rust are at Lancaster.
