Consolidation means they are rolling all those entities into one manufacturing facility,,,just like how the old GM/ford/mopar companies operated, chevy, Pontiac, buick, caddy, all built on the same line, the same frame, the same construction, with only the grill, bumpers, interior and of course the name plate being different, functionally the same thing just shinier or more flamboyant. The individual companies only existing on paper and in the media propaganda.

More than likely at much lower pay as well.

Just thinking out loud....

There are two elephants in the room:

1. Will the quality of AAC products and/or service suffer from having new employees in Alabama building and supporting the product?

2. Where will Robert choose to go - AAC Alabama or getting the band back together with Kevin in New Hampshire?

I am staying with Remington, and I don't have any concerns with the future quality because these are not lever action rifles that were once made on manual machines and were being transitioned to CNC machines. AAC parts were always made to AAC drawings on CNC machines. They are assembled and painted in GA, and by 2015, they will be assembled and painted in AL.

I just wish they would release a statement saying all production in unfriendly States will be moved by 2015.

Even nicer would be the big guys not selling any firearms to LEOs that a citizen can't own.
