I see on Barnes site they offer (2) distinct bullet choices for "black tips" but there is little to no information as to what the differences actually are.
I understand that the emphasis on this site has been on the 110gr. TAC-TX (#30811) bullet, however, Barnes also lists another 300 Blackout bullet in the TAC-X FB .30 SBR 110gr. (#30834). There has to be some difference for Barnes to offer them independently.
Any idea as to why?
Barnes M/LE TAC bullet differences?

Re: Barnes M/LE TAC bullet differences?
The SBR is not a black tip. It is the older short bullet which is best for the 30 RAR.
The black tip is designed to feed better in 300 BLK. You will get good terminal results with the SBR though, so it is still good for hunting, but I would not pick it for self-defense.
