tested currently unreliable in pmags:

cor-bon 240gr
hsm 220gr hpbt
pnw 220gr
doubletap 240gr

i dont recall if remington reliably cycled in pmags, i will test a recent manufacture in pmags next time i hit the range.
i do remember that like hsm, remington did not reliably cycle.

still, why limit yourself to a single brand of ammo when GI and lancer mags work fine.

hsm pissed me off enough that i'm going to pull the bullets and reload them with a proper charge of a1680.

I have the best results with the metallic mags, like the ones from Bushmaster.
I have had some feed problems with the Magpul Mags.

I made some 175 grainers up at oal 2.245 but they make the aluminum g.i. 30 rd mags swell up when loaded up to 20 rds. The 20 rd g.i. are just as bad. These are my results, your results may vary. Has anyone had any luck with any other type of mags with this long loaded heavy rounds?

I've been shooting 115gr UMC with no problems. Haven't shot the 220gr yet since I don't have my supressor.

What are the very best supersonic (I'm in NY, no cans) bullets and OAL for reloaders, in terms of feeding. 30 round GI mags are pretty much the norm in NY, since most other are post-ban here. Is the Barnes 110 gr TAC-TX and its crimp groove location considered optimal? The Sierra 125 SP look good price-wise for practice, is there a better choice in that role?
