think its possible? or maybe if you dont use a spitzer bullet? perhaps a round nose? i think it could be alot of fun. been wantin a m1 carbine, but i dont want to chase down another caliber....

could use a mini 14. that would be likely the easiest m1 carbine style system.

Such a conversion would not be possible with the M1 carbine. The receiver and magazine are too short for the longer cartridge, 30carbine bolt face is smaller than the 5.56/300blk bolt face, and pressure limits of the carbine are too low (38,500psi vs 55,000 for 300blk).

You could easily do the conversion with a Mini 14 though, just change the barrel and tune the gas.

Is there no interest on Ruger's part to produce a Mini-14 in 300 Blackout? I would think it would be a popular seller given the level of interest in the AR community and elsewhere.
